The March 2018 Merly Crop will soon be upon us so here are the details and sneak peeks of the layouts that you will be able to create using the kit. For this kit I have used papers from the beautiful “Fairy Garden” Kaisercraft collection.
Also supplied in the kit are DMC cotton, green & pink Kaisercard, pearls, a paper heart template and detailed instructions with coloured photo’s for you to follow, so you can then create the two layouts that I have designed at your own pace.
Below are some sneak peeks of the first layout which I’ve called “I just want pretty things” I have used a coloured photo measuring 9.5cm wide x 11cm high. The layout features beautiful fussy cut flowers & leaves, fairies and butterflies, layered onto a large cut out and stitched heart. (a template will be supplied in the kit for the heart). I have used the gorgeous Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker on the cut out flower buds, butterflies and fairy wings. I have also used pink & green Kaisermist from my own stash.
……….and below are some sneak peeks of the second layout, which I’ve called “Your Wings already exist ” it uses one coloured photo measuring 9.5cm wide x 11.5cm high . This layout also features beautiful fussy cut flowers, butterflies and birds & Die-Cut flourishes & a little stitching. I have used some crystal lacquer on all of the butterflies and the Wink of Stella Glear Glitter Brush Marker. The pink Kaisermist is from my own stash.
There is also a little punching, the Martha Stewart punch will be available to use at the crop.
Other items used on the layouts which you may want to bring are colour coordinating ink pads, I have used the “Vine” & “Petal Pink” Kaisercraft mini ink pads for inking around the edges, Crystal Lacquer (or similar) The Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker, a needle for sewing (if you want to do it) foam pads and a small pair of scissors as there is a lot of fussy cutting on both layouts. We will however have a selection of ink pads & Foam dots/roll, crystal lacquer & the Wink of Stella Brush Markers available to purchase in the on site Merly shop.
I have also used the WRMK Sew Easy Tool – and a Martha Stewart edge punch, these will be available to use at the crop along with our usual supply of tools including the Big Shot machine & a small selection of other punches.

At the crop we will also have our usual FABULOUS Merly Impressions Shop where you can purchase all the latest Kaisercraft goodies, including the new Feb & March releases and all our other Kaisercraft, Tim Holtz, ScrapFX, G45 & Little Birdie goodies. Extra kits will also be available to purchase at the crop. Just ask Paul for them.
Tea, coffee and a selection of biscuits, chocolates & snacks will be available throughout the day. You will need to bring your own lunch and your usual supply of crafting tools. We will not be bringing the box of mugs any more to save space in our cars, so please bring a cup/mug for your drinks. There are tiny cups available to use at the hall if you don’t want to bring one, you will need to wash, dry & put away what you use.
See you all on Saturday 17th March 2018 at 10am (not before 9.55 unless you have been asked to help, as we will be very busy getting ready, please wait outside if you do turn up really early) – until 4pm. The cost for the day & kit is £25.00, payable on the day, we take cash and/or cards.
For anyone who can not attend the crop, the kit will be available to purchase the day after the crop over on the website.
