Happy New Year everyone!!
The 1st Merly Impressions Crop of 2017 is on January 21st, so here are the details and some sneak peeks of the layouts that you will be able to create using the crop kit. The kit will also be available to purchase online the day after the crop for anyone who can not attend the crop. For this kit I have used papers from the beautiful “Ubud Dreams” Kaisercraft collection.
The complete collection features pretty florals, mandalas and hypnotic patterns in restful and dreamy shades of blue & green. Also supplied in the kit are coordinating pearls, DMC cotton, Kaisercard, a random selection of Ubud Dreams collectables and detailed instructions with coloured photo’s for you to follow and create the two layouts.
Below are some sneak peeks of the first layout, which I’ve called “Life is better when your’re laughing” it uses one coloured photo measuring about 9cm wide x 11cm high.
……….and below are some sneak peeks of the second layout, which I’ve called “Be Happy” it uses one coloured photo measuring 9cm x 9cm.
Other items used on the layouts which you will need to bring are a colour coordinating ink pad, I have used the “Lagoon” Kaisercraft mini ink pad, other blue or green ink pads would also work – for inking around the edges. A needle for sewing, foam pads and a small pair of scissors as there is some fussy cutting on both layouts. We will however have a selection of ink pads & Foam dots/roll available to purchase in the on site Merly shop. Tools & Adhesives
I have also used the Martha Stewart punch around the page set Vintage Doily. We will bring this and our usual supply of tools, including the Sew Easy Tools (which are also used on the layouts), Big Shot & Dies to the crop if people would like to use them to create their own title or cut out other embellishments. I have also used the Kaisercraft Decorative Die – Fern Leaf, this will also be supplied at the crop and we will have some to purchase in the shop.

Paul will be making a selection of yummy cakes and we will also bring biscuits, chocolates, tea and coffee. You will need to bring your own lunch and your usual supply of tools.
